HCI recognized by the US Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency

HCI, IT Services firm, has been honored for its valuable contributions to the minority business community by the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) during its 27th annual Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week 2009.

The mission of the MBDA is to enhance the growth and expansion of minority business enterprises. MED Week is the largest federally sponsored conference held on behalf of minority business enterprises. The conference theme was “Energizing the American Economy with Minority Business Enterprises”.

HCI founder and CEO Patrick Hemphill expressed surprise at being named outstanding minority service firm of the year. “We don’t seek out minority firms. Our goal is high performance. In pursuit of that, minority owned firms have organically become an integral part of our supplier mix”.
